Agonda is about 10 kilometers north of the local tourist center Palolem. The 2 kilometers long and 100 meters broad beach appears completely untouched. It belongs to the Goan protection areas of turtles, who go ashore there every year for depositing their eggs in the sand. Thanks to this phenomenon the resort has been named „Turtle-Lounge“ .
